Oyinlola rejects Adeleke’s claim, says Osun govt provided the car
Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has denied Governor Ademola Adeleke’s claim that he received a car from him before endorsing APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, according to a report by Vanguard.
Speaking to Channels Television, Oyinlola said the vehicle was provided under a state law entitling former governors to new vehicles every four years, not a personal gift. He noted he had been out of office for 16 years, meaning the state owed him three vehicles. The exchange comes ahead of Saturday’s Osun governorship election, where Adeleke seeks re-election against Oyebamiji.
