AEPDC backtracks on Ojulari removal call, tenders apology
The Association of Energy Policy and Development Consultants (AEPDC) has withdrawn its demand for the removal of Bayo Ojulari as NNPCL’s Group Chief Executive Officer, according to The Nation Newspaper.
AEPDC president Ibrahim Danjuma said fresh investigations into the company’s energy security expenditure showed greater transparency than initially believed, prompting a public apology to Ojulari.
The group said its earlier criticism relied on incomplete and misleading information. While reaffirming confidence in Ojulari’s leadership, AEPDC insisted continued scrutiny of NNPCL’s finances remains necessary and urged sustained transparency going forward.
