Tinubu orders arrest of promoter of new fake agency, suspends three Perm Secs
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the immediate suspension of three Permanent Secretaries and the arrest of one Prince George Buchi Nwabueze following the discovery of yet another fake agency — the National Brands Development and Mandates in the Nigeria Special Project Office — illegally operating from within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
ICPC Chairman Dr Musa Aliyu disclosed the development while briefing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, as reported by PM News, saying the discovery emerged from the commission’s broader investigation into the earlier-exposed phantom Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council.
“The ICPC has uncovered another fake agency and office operating under the name National Brands Development and Mandates in the Nigeria Special Project Office, which had been illegally allocated office space within the premises of the Office of the SGF,” Aliyu said.
The suspended Permanent Secretaries are M.S Danjuma, Engineer Nadungu Gagare and Richard Pheelangwah. Investigation is ongoing.
