US court approves private FBI review of Tinubu drug trafficking files
A US federal court has granted the FBI permission to privately submit records related to alleged drug-trafficking allegations against President Bola Tinubu for in-camera review, according to Daily Post, citing a post by lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York.
Judge Beryl Howell of the US District Court for the District of Columbia reportedly gave the FBI, DEA, DOJ, and Tinubu until August 28 to file opposition to the records’ release.
The firm said the private submission suggests the FBI considers the material highly sensitive, possibly involving informants. The development has not yet appeared on the official court docket.
