Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has directed all police commands and formations to urgently submit details of serving inspectors and rank-and-file personnel holding doctorate degrees, master’s degrees or Bachelor of Laws certificates, according to Sahara Reporters.

The directive, contained in a police wireless message dated September 14 and marked “Most/Immediate,” was issued by the Force Secretary’s Office in Abuja and addressed to training institutions, police colleges and state commands. It ordered recipients to forward the requested information, alongside affected officers’ posting signals, on or before September 16. The message, copied to the IGP’s office and all Commissioners of Police, described the request as a matter of urgency requiring strict compliance with the deadline.
