CNN, MS NOW and Politico reporters denied White House access following Trump ban

The White House on Saturday denied entry to reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico, a day after President Donald Trump barred the outlets from covering his administration from White House grounds.

Politico’s global editor-in-chief, Jonathan Greenberger, said Secret Service agents confiscated reporter Cheyenne Haslett’s press pass, according to Peoples Gazette. He said Politico would “vigorously defend our First Amendment rights.”

CNN and MS NOW issued similar statements saying their correspondents’ badges were seized. CNN said its mission to report on the US government “will continue” regardless of restrictions, while MS NOW said the White House belongs to the American people.
