Mohamed Elneny makes European return with Levadiakos move

Former Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny has returned to European football after completing a free transfer to Greek club Levadiakos. The Egypt international left UAE side Al-Jazira at the end of last season before securing his move to the Greek Super League side. According to GOAL, Levadiakos announced the signing on Tuesday but did not disclose the details of his contract.

Elneny expressed his excitement in a message to the club’s supporters, promising to give his best for the team. The 33-year-old began his career with Al-Mokawloon Al-Arab before spells at Basel, Arsenal, Besiktas and Al-Jazira. He joins Levadiakos with the club currently bottom of the Greek league, having collected just one point from their opening five matches.
