Jurgen Klopp clashes with German press again over Joshua Kimmich questions
Jurgen Klopp has clashed with the German press again after reporters questioned Joshua Kimmich’s absence from the team following Germany’s 2-0 victory over Serbia, according to the Daily Mail. Klopp, in his first international camp as Germany manager, defended his decision to field Tom Bischof, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Florian Wirtz in midfield.
The former Liverpool boss said players must be in form to play and accused reporters of trying to create a story around Kimmich. Klopp had previously criticised leaks from his squad as “pathetic” and insisted he remained happy with his team despite Germany’s earlier 1-1 draw with the Netherlands and 1-0 defeat by Greece.
