Jérémy Jacquet opens up on Paul Pogba inspiration ahead of France dream
Liverpool defender Jérémy Jacquet has revealed that former Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba remains his biggest football role model. Speaking to Téléfoot, the 21-year-old admitted he regularly watched Pogba while growing up and still admires the former World Cup winner. According to Get French Football News, Jacquet began his career as a midfielder before eventually switching to centre-back after joining Rennes.
The Liverpool defender has since developed into one of Europe’s promising players in his position. Despite changing roles, Jacquet has retained the passing ability and attacking instincts associated with his midfield background. He admitted that playing alongside Pogba for France is unlikely, but his admiration for the veteran midfielder remains strong.
