Missile hits Riyadh airport passenger terminal, leaves many injured
A missile attack struck a passenger terminal at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday, leaving several people injured and forcing an evacuation.
According to the Associated Press, two regional officials confirmed the latest attack, which followed earlier strikes that killed three Saudi citizens, including a pilot.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for attacks targeting Saudi airports, military facilities and oil infrastructure amid the widening regional conflict involving Iran.
United States President Donald Trump said Washington was considering joining Saudi military operations against the rebels following the latest incident.
“We may. We’re going to look at it,” Trump told reporters.
“We just found out about the recent attack. So we’ll make a decision. We move very quickly.”
The renewed attacks have heightened concerns about aviation safety and regional security, with Saudi Arabia facing repeated assaults on critical infrastructure.
The latest incident raises fears of further escalation as Washington considers its response.
