Rodrigo Bentancur sent off as Tottenham rescue a late point in Old Trafford

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off for violent conduct during his side’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday. According to the Evening Standard, Bentancur headbutted United defender Luke Shaw during a heated confrontation following a series of forceful challenges.

Shaw and Tottenham’s Jan Paul van Hecke were booked as tensions escalated. Bryan Mbeumo had given United the lead with just over 15 minutes remaining, but Dominic Solanke scored a late equaliser to earn Spurs a point.The result lifted Tottenham to 18th in the Premier League table.
