Unai Emery ‘sad’ as Aston Villa drop points against Brentford, rues Konsa miss
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery expressed his disappointment after his side were held to a 2-2 draw by Brentford at home in the Premier League on Saturday. According to Birmingham Live, Villa twice took the lead through Nicolas Jackson and John McGinn after Yehor Yarmolyuk had opened the scoring, but Kristoffer Ajer equalised shortly after McGinn’s goal.
Emery said a home draw was not a good result, admitting his team needed greater control and defensive improvement. The Villa boss also discussed replacing Ezri Konsa, praising Victor Lindelof while stressing that new arrivals needed time to adapt.
