Manchester United 1-1 Tottenham player ratings: as Yoro shines with 8/10 but United surrender late lead
Manchester United missed the opportunity to end their Premier League winless run after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Bryan Mbeumo put United ahead in the 73rd minute, but Dominic Solanke struck in the 92nd minute to rescue Spurs despite Rodrigo Bentancur’s dismissal for headbutting Luke Shaw.
Leny Yoro impressed at right-back before being substituted, while United struggled to turn their advantage into three points. Michael Carrick’s side faced further frustration from supporters after another disappointing result.
Manchester United player ratings
Senne Lammens — 6/10
Produced an excellent early save to deny Solanke, although his poor pass had initially gifted Tottenham possession. He could do little to prevent the late equaliser.
Leny Yoro — 8/10
United’s standout performer. Despite playing out of position at right-back, he defended confidently and made an important early tackle on Jan Paul van Hecke. His substitution was surprising.
Harry Maguire — 5/10
Made a crucial clearance beneath his own crossbar to prevent a Tottenham goal but struggled to provide the defensive assurance United needed.
Lisandro Martinez — 5/10
Had a difficult afternoon against Solanke, allowing the striker to get goal-side on one occasion before being overpowered during the equaliser. He was also booked.
Luke Shaw — 6/10
Showed good awareness to prevent Tottenham scoring early in the second half. His confrontation with Bentancur resulted in the Spurs midfielder being sent off.
Youri Tielemans — 6/10
Worked hard defensively and contributed several important challenges but left spaces on United’s right flank. He briefly celebrated a goal that was ruled out because the ball had gone out.
Kobbie Mainoo — 6/10
Kept possession moving with his usual composure and made a valuable second-half block to stop Savio threatening the United goal.
Bruno Fernandes — 5/10
Looked short of his usual sharpness, with a misplaced pass disrupting a promising first-half counterattack. He produced occasional dangerous moments but was booked.
Amad Diallo — 5/10
Made his first appearance of the season following injury and forced a save from Antonin Kinsky. However, he struggled to influence the game consistently.
Bryan Mbeumo — 7/10
Delivered United’s breakthrough with an excellent touch, turn and finish in the 73rd minute. He threatened again late on, although his goal was not enough to secure victory.
Matheus Cunha — 6/10
Moved intelligently and helped create Mbeumo’s goal with a well-timed pass. He was denied late on by Van Hecke but experienced some frustrating moments in possession.
Substitutes
Diogo Dalot — 6/10
Replaced Yoro in the 59th minute and made several useful contributions, but could not help United preserve their lead.
Carlos Baleba — 6/10
Made his debut after replacing Tielemans. His excellent pass released Mbeumo late in the game and offered a glimpse of his creative potential.
Joshua Zirkzee — 6/10
Brought energy to the attack after coming on for Amad but failed to produce the decisive final contribution.
Marcus Rashford — N/A
Introduced in stoppage time, leaving insufficient time to make a meaningful impact on the contest.
Ayden Heaven — N/A
Came on alongside Rashford in the closing stages and had little opportunity to influence the result.
