Gyokeres pushing for Arsenal exit…
Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly considering leaving the club during the January transfer window amid frustration over limited playing opportunities and the club’s continued interest in Julian Alvarez.
According to TEAMtalk, the 28-year-old Sweden international is unhappy about his lack of Premier League starts under manager Mikel Arteta.
Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Sporting CP in 2025 for over £60 million, scoring 21 goals during his debut campaign as the Gunners won the Premier League title.
However, Kai Havertz has emerged as Arteta’s preferred attacking option this season, leaving Gyokeres without a league start.
The striker is also reportedly concerned about Arsenal’s pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Alvarez, which could further reduce his opportunities.
Despite scoring four goals for Sweden during the recent Nations League break, Gyokeres reportedly feels excluded from Arteta’s plans.
Atletico Madrid remain interested in signing him, while clubs in England, Italy and Germany are monitoring developments.
Arsenal could reportedly sanction his departure as the club considers strengthening its attacking options during the upcoming January transfer window.
