Arsenal star left ‘devastated’ by Mikel Arteta half-time hook in Nottingham Forest win
Arsenal star Eberechi Eze was reportedly left “devastated” after being substituted at half-time by manager Mikel Arteta during the Gunners’ hard-fought 1-0 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.
According to Football365, pundit Ian Wright expressed sympathy for the summer signing, who struggled to make an impact out on the left wing during his first league start of the campaign.
Arteta opted to introduce Noni Madueke at the interval, a tactical switch that ultimately paid off when Madueke scored the game’s decisive goal in the 80th minute. Wright believes the early hook will heavily test Eze’s resilience as he fights to carve out a regular role in Arteta’s side.
