Tinubu heads to Saudi Arabia to pray for Nigeria
President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Thursday, October 29, for Makkah, Saudi Arabia, to perform Umrah and pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability and development.
According to Channels Television, as reported by PM News, the trip was announced Wednesday in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The Presidency said the visit would provide Tinubu an opportunity for spiritual reflection and devotion.
While in Makkah, the President will perform Umrah rites and seek Allah’s guidance and blessings for Nigerians.
Before departing, Tinubu will commission equipment recently acquired by the Nigerian Air Force to strengthen its operations.
The ceremony will take place at the Presidential Wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria next week after completing the pilgrimage.
Umrah, commonly called the lesser pilgrimage, involves religious rites performed in Makkah and can be undertaken throughout the year, unlike Hajj, which follows a fixed Islamic calendar. Channels Television
