Bloomberg, Wall Street firms sign up to pay Trump Media for faster access to Truth Social posts
Truth Social, the platform founded by US President Donald Trump, has signed up Bloomberg and two Wall Street firms for faster access to the president’s posts, which it sells for up to $100,000 a month, Reuters reports, citing people with direct knowledge of the matter.
The firms are Susquehanna International Group and Jump Trading, both high-frequency trading firms focused on algorithmic strategies. Subscribers to the Truth API service pay between $60,000 and $100,000 monthly for a timing advantage that Trump Media officials describe as 50 milliseconds.
Trump Media said there is “significant demand” for the product. Bloomberg, Jump Trading and Susquehanna declined to comment.
Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff have asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate, calling the service a “shocking abuse” of office. Intercept Media and the Freedom of the Press Foundation sued Trump in August, describing the paid feed as “profoundly corrupt.”
The president’s family trust owns 41% of Trump Media. White House spokesman Davis Ingle said neither Trump nor his family is directly involved in any portfolio investment decisions.
