Cristiano Ronaldo moves within 15 of 1,000 career goals after Al-Nassr hat-trick
Cristiano Ronaldo is now just 15 goals away from reaching 1,000 career goals after scoring a hat-trick in Al-Nassr’s 5-3 victory over Al-Kholood on Thursday.
The 41-year-old captain delivered an impressive second-half performance to strengthen his pursuit of the historic milestone, despite having a first-half goal ruled out for offside.
According to Daily Post Nigeria, Ronaldo found the net three times after the break as Al-Nassr secured all three points in the Saudi Arabian league encounter.
Former Chelsea forward Joao Felix played a key role in the victory, providing three assists, including two for Ronaldo’s goals. Felix teed up the Portuguese forward for a simple finish before Ronaldo rose brilliantly to head home and make it 4-2.
The former Real Madrid star completed his hat-trick by converting a pass from Sadio Mane inside the penalty area. Domingues scored a 94th-minute penalty for Al-Kholood, but Al-Nassr held on to claim a five-goal victory and keep Ronaldo closing in on the remarkable 1,000-goal landmark.
