Ernest Shonekan Centre launches portal to track N’Assembly business bills
The Ernest Shonekan Centre for Legislative Reforms and Economic Development (ESC) has launched a Business Bill Intelligence Portal to help businesses track proposed laws that could affect their operations, TheCable reports.
The centre said in a statement on Monday that the portal was unveiled at the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja on October 27.
The ESC, an initiative of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), said the platform lets users search and filter bills before the National Assembly, monitor their progress and assess how they could affect business and investment.
The portal also has an analytics dashboard, and each bill has its own page showing its status and legislative history.
“Laws and proposed legislation can have significant implications for businesses, investment and economic growth,” said ESC Chairman Kyari Bukar.
Executive Director Uchenna Ogbonna said the portal was designed for businesses, citizens, civil society, journalists, researchers, government agencies and lawmakers.
