“The Chief of Staff already has a lawyer”: Blanche fires back at Democratic threat to investigate Miller
“Stephen Miller should lawyer up”: House Democrats vow investigation as Trump names new Chief of Staff
Attorney General Todd Blanche responded on X to a Democratic threat to investigate Stephen Miller, saying: “The Chief of Staff already has a lawyer. The Attorney General of the United States and the Department of Justice.”
Blanche was replying to a statement from Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and incoming chairman, which Oversight Democrats posted on X. Garcia reacted after President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that Miller, the deputy White House chief of staff, had been promoted to chief of staff.

Garcia called Miller “the architect of the unconstitutional ICE raids that have terrorized our communities and kidnapped and killed American citizens and immigrant families.” He said: “Oversight Democrats will continue to investigate Miller for his misconduct, and we will fight against his hateful policies in Congress and the courts.” He added: “Stephen Miller should lawyer up.”
Miller replaces Susie Wiles, who left after a resignation letter Thursday night, The Daily Beast reported.
