Suspected infidelity:Woman allegedly bites husband’s testicles, lands in court
A 29-year-old Zimbabwean woman, Sharlene Rutendo Munenga, has appeared before a Harare magistrate for allegedly biting her husband’s testicles during a domestic dispute over suspected infidelity.
According to Tribune, Munenga was remanded in custody pending bail considerations after the alleged attack left her 33-year-old husband, Munyaradzi Pondi, hospitalised.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 9, 2026, at the couple’s residence in Dzivarasekwa, Harare, around 9:30 am.
State prosecutor Takudzwa Jambawo told the court that Munenga confronted her husband over suspicions of an extramarital affair.
The confrontation allegedly escalated into a physical altercation after Munenga became dissatisfied with her husband’s explanation.
Prosecutors alleged that she subsequently bit his testicle, causing serious injuries that required hospital treatment.
Munenga, who faces physical abuse allegations under Zimbabwe’s Domestic Violence Act, appeared before magistrate Ruth Moyo.
The prosecution indicated that a medical affidavit detailing the injuries would be presented as evidence.
The allegations remain unproven, and Munenga is presumed innocent.
