Alleged drug trafficking: We were offered $3m bribe to drop Tinubu records campaign – US firm
A United States-based lobbying firm linked to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has alleged that its founder, Dr Karl Von Batten, was offered $3 million and invited to a confidential London meeting to stop its campaign over alleged historical records concerning President Bola Tinubu.
According to Vanguard, Von Batten-Montague-York said the offer came from an unnamed individual it was told was connected to Tinubu and that Von Batten rejected it, preserving the communications for possible investigation by US authorities. (thesun.ng)
However, Presidential aide Sunday Dare dismissed the allegation as political speculation, while citing a reported $1.2 million retainer between Atiku and the lobbying firm.
