Aston Villa let Callum O’Hare leave for nothing — Now he’s a £7m star
Aston Villa could be left wondering what might have been after academy graduate Callum O’Hare completed a £7 million move to Wrexham, six years after leaving Villa Park as a free agent. The 28-year-old midfielder has since established himself as a proven Championship performer following an impressive spell with Coventry City and a successful period at Sheffield United.
According to Football League World, O’Hare’s development highlights Villa’s decision to release him in 2020. He became Coventry’s Player of the Season and later won Sheffield United’s award after contributing 16 goals last season.
