Amaechi Achieved Nothing as Speaker, Governor, or Minister, Wike Claims
Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has launched a stinging attack on Rotimi Amaechi, accusing his predecessor of achieving nothing during his 24 years in top political offices.
Speaking on Friday during an interactive session with leaders and stakeholders of Evo Kingdom in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, as reported by Peoples Gazette, Wike claimed Amaechi failed to attract development or build future leaders while serving as Speaker, Rivers State Governor, and Minister of Transportation.
”Someone was Speaker of the House of Assembly for eight years, Governor for eight years, and Minister for eight years—that is 24 years in top leadership positions! What can anybody point to that he attracted to Evo Kingdom or Rivers State in all those 24 years? Nothing! Not one single thing!” Wike stated.
Wike argued that true political leadership requires leaving behind a lasting legacy rather than pursuing selfish interests.
