Amaechi warns Nigerians: Vote Tinubu and die of poverty

Vice-presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Rotimi Amaechi, has warned Nigerians against re-electing President Bola Tinubu in 2027, claiming they risk dying of poverty, according to a report by Daily Post Nigeria.

Speaking to stakeholders in Obigwe, Rivers State, the former governor said Nigerians have suffered since Tinubu removed the fuel subsidy, citing worsening insecurity and hardship. Amaechi urged voters to mobilise as “foot soldiers” for the opposition, contrasting his record as governor of free education, healthcare and infrastructure spending.

He said ADC’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has pledged to restore fuel and electricity subsidies if elected, framing the choice as one between poverty under Tinubu and economic relief under Atiku.
