West Virginia principal suspended over recording devices found in girls’ locker rooms

A West Virginia high school principal has been suspended after authorities reportedly discovered four recording devices hidden in multiple female locker rooms. According to Fox News, Eric James, 53, principal of Brooke High School in Wellsburg, was suspended after the devices were found in physical education locker rooms and a dressing area used by the school’s dance team.

The devices were removed from the school with assistance from security officers, staff and law enforcement. Authorities also reportedly confiscated additional devices from James’ home.

James faces two felony charges, including intentionally intercepting or attempting to intercept communications and breaking and entering a nonresidence. He is being held on $100,000 bond as investigations continue.
