APC chieftain says Tinubu unhappy with Wike’s “politically lazy” remark
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Aliyu Farouk, has said President Bola Tinubu is unlikely to be pleased with Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over his recent attacks on APC governors.
Farouk stated this while fielding questions on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Thursday, according to Daily Post Nigeria.
Wike had described some APC governors as “politically lazy” while defending his Rainbow Coalition, prompting the APC Governors’ Forum, led by Imo State governor Hope Uzodimma, to reject any alliance capable of weakening the party.
Farouk said the APC was building a unified campaign structure, with governors leading activities in their states. “We are not happy with the way he called our governors, and I’m sure Mr President will not be happy either,” he said, also questioning Wike’s claim of an arrangement with Tinubu.
