Apple users warned over potential privacy risk in ChatGPT’s new Mac feature

Share:

OpenAI has introduced a ChatGPT feature that allows users to search, review, draft and send messages through Apple’s Messages app on Mac computers.

MSN reports that the feature, available through ChatGPT’s business-focused Work app and Codex, requires users to grant the AI access to contacts and certain parts of their computer.

The integration could help users manage conversations and schedule activities, but it has raised concerns over the security of sensitive personal and business information.

Security-conscious business owners may worry that client details and other confidential data could be exposed through AI systems.

The development has also renewed calls for stronger employee training on safe AI use.
