Arsenal confirms Gabriel Martinelli’s £60m move to Al-Hilal
Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has completed a £60m move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, bringing his seven-year spell with the Gunners to an end, according to BBC SPORT. The Brazil international, 25, has signed a long-term contract with Al-Hilal, with the transfer including a sell-on fee.
Martinelli joined Arsenal from Ituano in 2019 and had 12 months remaining on his contract, but manager Mikel Arteta had informed him he was not part of his plans. The winger was omitted from Arsenal’s opening two matchday squads this season. Martinelli scored 11 goals in 53 appearances last season and now joins Ollie Watkins and Crysencio Summerville at Al-Hilal.
