Arsenal miss out on £6.7m windfall as Balogun-Everton move collapses
Arsenal have missed out on a reported £6.7 million windfall after former striker Folarin Balogun’s proposed move to Everton collapsed on transfer deadline day. According to Football London, Everton had agreed a £38.5 million deal plus £4.3 million in add-ons for the Monaco forward, but the transfer fell apart after Balogun underwent a medical and later decided against the move. Arsenal inserted a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause when Balogun joined Monaco in 2023, meaning the Gunners were due a significant percentage of the transfer fee. The collapse has now denied Arsenal the expected payday.
