Arsenal move closer to securing Declan Rice on new five-year contract

Arsenal are reportedly close to agreeing a new long-term contract with Declan Rice, according to FootballTransfers. The report claims the Gunners will use the September international break to finalise negotiations with the England midfielder, whose current contract runs until 2028.

Rice is reportedly set to receive a significant pay rise to around £280,000 per week on a new five-year agreement. Talks are expected to intensify after he withdrew from England duty to manage his workload. Arsenal are also reportedly preparing to negotiate a new contract with Ben White, while discussions over Mikel Arteta’s future are said to be progressing.
