Arteta fuels transfer speculation after leaving Arsenal trio out of Community Shield
Mikel Arteta has fuelled speculation over the futures of Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus and Ethan Nwaneri after leaving all three out of Arsenal’s Community Shield squad against Manchester City.
According to GOAL, their omissions come amid uncertainty over whether they will remain at Arsenal beyond the transfer window.
Galatasaray have reportedly offered £38 million for Martinelli, while Napoli are discussing a move for Jesus, valued around £17 million. Nwaneri is attracting interest after Arteta stressed the youngster needs regular football.
Arsenal could reportedly loan Nwaneri or sell him with a buy-back clause. New signings Bruno Guimaraes and Christos Tzolis started against City, while Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice were rested.
