Aston Villa produced a commanding performance to thrash Fenerbahce 6-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, October 14, with Nicolas Jackson scoring twice in a dominant first-half display. According to GiveMeSport, Johan Manzambi opened the scoring before Jackson struck twice to put Unai Emery’s side firmly in control at half-time.

Manzambi broke the deadlock after the ball fell to him inside the penalty area, with his effort taking a deflection on its way into the net. Jackson then doubled Villa’s advantage with a precise low finish from the edge of the box after being set up by Ross Barkley. The striker completed his brace in the 38th minute, again finding the bottom corner from distance following Boubacar Kamara’s assist.

Villa maintained their attacking intensity after the interval, with Barkley converting a penalty in the 70th minute after Manzambi won the spot-kick. The midfielder added his second goal four minutes later with an excellent finish from the edge of the area. Substitute Tammy Abraham completed the rout shortly before full-time, tapping home after Alysson delivered a cross from the left.

GiveMeSport awarded Manzambi, Jackson and Barkley its highest grade, A+, for their contributions to the emphatic victory. The result marked a club-record win for Villa in the competition, underlining their attacking strength and providing a significant boost to Emery’s side in the Champions League league phase. Villa will now look to carry that momentum into their next fixtures as they continue their European campaign.
