ASUU threatens indefinite strike as over 200 KASU lecturers resign

More than 200 professors and academic staff have resigned from Kaduna State University (KASU) over poor conditions of service and non-implementation of the 2025 FGN-ASUU Agreement, the university’s ASUU chapter has revealed.

According to Punch Newspapers, ASUU-KASU chairman Abubakar Abdullahi disclosed this at a Monday press conference, issuing a two-week ultimatum to university authorities to implement the agreement or face an indefinite strike.

He noted the agreement took effect in January but remains unimplemented at KASU, unlike most federal and state universities, leaving staff among the least-paid nationally.
