Atiku to Nigerian youths: You don’t need any govt that teaches you how to endure hardship

Former Vice President and ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has told Nigerian youths they deserve a government that creates prosperity rather than one that teaches them to endure hardship, pledging a $100 billion financing programme for entrepreneurs if elected in 2027.

Atiku made the declaration on his X handle @atiku on Saturday after receiving a nationwide delegation of N-Power beneficiaries who declared support for his presidential candidacy, as reported by Tribune.

“Nigeria’s young people do not need a government that teaches them how to survive hardship. They need a government that gives them the opportunity to prosper,” Atiku said, accusing the current administration of eroding purchasing power, weakening small businesses and pushing young Nigerians further from economic independence.

The ADC candidate framed 2027 as a fundamental economic choice. “Our objective is simple: move young Nigerians from dependence to enterprise, from unemployment to productivity, and from palliatives to prosperity,” he stated, adding: “We will make Nigeria affordable again.”
