Atiku: We’re competing with thieves in 2027

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has accused the President Bola Tinubu-led administration of stealing Nigeria’s economy, declaring that he is “competing with thieves” ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking in a video shared on his social media platform, Atiku, the African Democratic Congress presidential candidate, said, “We are competing with thieves. They stole the election. Now they have stolen the economy. They have stolen everything.”

According to SaharaReporters, Atiku also vowed to restore fuel subsidy if elected, arguing that its removal had pushed more Nigerians into poverty.

“I want to repeat categorically that what I said I will return subsidy, I will,” he said.
