Atiku’s bid to stop Tinubu’s 2027 run stalls in court

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s suit challenging President Bola Tinubu’s eligibility for the 2027 election stumbled at the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, as his lawyer, Joseph Onu Silas, admitted he couldn’t personally serve Tinubu with court papers.

A SAN representing Tinubu, Omosanya Popoola, offered to accept the process, but Atiku’s team demanded written proof of his mandate first.

Justice Inyang Ekwo adjourned the matter to September 28, giving Atiku time to resolve the service issue, according to Daily Post.
