Atiku’s wife: Nothing working under Tinubu, I wonder how people are eating
Titi Abubakar, wife of ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has urged Nigerian youths to back her husband in 2027, insisting Nigerians could eventually demand he stay beyond a single term despite his pledge to serve only once.
Daily Trust reports that Titi made the appeal at an ADC town hall in Abuja, describing Atiku as an experienced “sellable material” who would not need to “learn on the job.”
She said a first term would allow Atiku to groom his deputy as a potential successor, while pledging that youths and women would receive 40% of government appointments under his administration.
Titi further launched a broader attack on the state of governance, claiming Nigeria currently has “no constitution” and “no rule of law,” adding, “Right from 2023 up to date, there is no budget in Nigeria.
And I wonder how people are living. I wonder how people are eating.” She warned youths against selling their votes for money, describing such inducements as a betrayal of future generations.
The town hall focused on grassroots mobilisation, vote protection and expanding youth and women’s participation in the ADC’s 2027 campaign.
