Atletico Madrid prepare fresh Cristian Romero bid as Arsenal enter transfer race

Atletico Madrid are preparing a second bid for Tottenham captain Cristian Romero as they attempt to beat competition from Arsenal and Inter Milan. According to Football365, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Atletico are expected to submit an offer worth around €40 million (£34.2m) soon. However, Atletico have yet to agree personal terms with the Argentina international, despite reports suggesting otherwise.

Arsenal have contacted Romero’s representatives to gather information about a potential transfer, but Tottenham reportedly prefer to sell their captain abroad. Inter remain interested but face financial difficulties and must resolve player sales before proceeding. Barcelona could also enter the race, although Atletico currently remain the leading contenders for Romero’s signature.
