Awujale Stool: Ruling House drags Ogun govt, kingmakers to court

The Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode has sued Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Awujale kingmakers and others before the Ogun State High Court, seeking orders to complete the selection of the next Awujale.

According to a suit reported by The PUNCH, the family claims it validly nominated 95 princes and princesses in January, but police locked the palace hours later, halting the process.

The stool became vacant after Oba Sikiru Adetona’s death in July 2025.
