Barcelona seek Brazil agreement to keep Raphinha out of November friendlies
Barcelona are reportedly considering talks with Brazil to prevent Raphinha from being called up for next month’s international friendlies against Japan and Singapore.
According to Tribuna, the Spanish champions are concerned about the forward’s fitness after he suffered setbacks during each of his last three international call-ups.
Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti is expected to announce his squad on Thursday, with Raphinha’s inclusion a major concern for Barcelona as he continues recovering from his latest injury.
The 29-year-old previously suffered a serious hamstring injury while representing Brazil, disrupting Barcelona’s campaign last season.
The Catalan club reportedly hope to reach an agreement with the Brazilian Football Confederation to allow their captain to rest during the upcoming international break and avoid another setback.
