Belgian media deliver verdict on Man Utd Goalkeeper Senne Lammens after France defeat

Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens received mixed reviews from Belgian media following Belgium’s 1-0 defeat to France in the UEFA Nations League on Monday. According to TEAMtalk, Lammens made five saves at Stade Roi Baudouin, including three from efforts inside the penalty area, but could not prevent Michael Olise’s late winner.

Belgian publication Het Belang van Limburg rated the 24-year-old 6/10, noting that he made several important saves before Olise struck in the 88th minute. The performance comes amid renewed debate over Lammens’ long-term suitability at Manchester United.

Former United coach Rene Meulensteen has previously suggested Unai Simon as an alternative, while club legend Paul Scholes has also questioned whether Lammens can become a top-class goalkeeper. Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has additionally urged United to consider Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
