The world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has announced that it has replaced 90 percent of the $6.3 billion stolen during Thursday’s cyberattack.

According to the BBC, Binance disclosed on Saturday that it had replenished most of the stolen assets using company funds and its corporate treasury.

The exchange said the remaining 10 percent could take longer to replace because of difficulties sourcing the required cryptocurrencies.

“Binance will absorb the financial impact of these stolen funds, not our users,” the company said in a statement on Saturday.

Binance confirmed that holdings in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and seven other major cryptocurrencies had been covered.

The company also pledged to compensate users fully, revealing that it had reserved more than $6.34 billion for recovery.

Meanwhile, Binance said it was working to resume withdrawals on Sunday, November 1.

The $6.3 billion theft reportedly surpassed the $1.5 billion Bybit hack recorded in 2025.
