Thieves have stolen more than 70,000 pints of Guinness worth £115,000 after taking two loaded HGV trailers from a depot in Runcorn, Cheshire.
According to the Daily Mirror, Cheshire Police said about 800 barrels of Guinness were inside the trailers when they were driven from the Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Monday.
Police said the first lorry arrived at about 7.45pm, attached to a trailer and left minutes later towards the Mersey Gateway bridge. A second lorry arrived at 9.12pm and removed another trailer.
The stolen Guinness, totalling about 70,400 pints, had been destined for pubs. Police estimate the Guinness and trailers are worth around £205,000 altogether.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and drivers with nearby dashcam footage as investigations continue.
