Camara admits Premier League dream alive after Chelsea move collapsed
Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara has broken his silence on his failed deadline-day move to Chelsea, admitting he still hopes to join the Premier League. Speaking at a press conference, the 22-year-old Senegalese international called the saga “turbulent and difficult” but said he stayed professional and refocused on Monaco’s season, according to TEAMtalk.
Chelsea had agreed a fee with Monaco to sign Camara as Enzo Fernández’s replacement, but the Ligue 1 club pulled out at the last minute, reportedly hoping for a bigger offer and eyeing a future move to Liverpool instead. Camara compared his situation to Julian Álvarez’s Atlético Madrid transfer, insisting he remains committed to Monaco while leaving the door open for a Premier League switch.
