Carragher: Türkiye ‘a level too low” for Salah

Jamie Carragher says Trabzonspor is “a level too low” for Mohamed Salah, insisting the former Liverpool star remains capable of playing for one of Europe’s elite clubs.

According to ESPN, Carragher expected Salah to join AC Milan or Juventus after leaving Liverpool.

Salah, 33, signed a two-year Trabzonspor deal after nine seasons at Liverpool, where he scored 257 goals. Carragher suggested the Egyptian’s wage demands may have limited his options but maintained Salah could still compete at a more prestigious European club. Salah arrived in Türkiye to a huge reception and said he was “here to win.”
