Court rejects ‘PFIPC DG’ Adeyemi’s requests for bail, medical attention
A Federal High Court in Abuja has declined a request for bail and medical attention by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the detained self-styled Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council.
According to The Nation, Justice Obiora Egwuatu instead ordered the Inspector-General of Police and Attorney-General of the Federation to grant Adeyemi access to his lawyers.
The court also directed the IGP, Nigeria Police Force and AGF to explain within 72 hours why Adeyemi’s other requests, including bail, should not be granted.
The matter was adjourned until September 9.
Adeyemi was arrested following a court-issued warrant. Police have charged him with eight counts of forgery, fraud and impersonation in a case filed in November 2025.
