Diesel now N1,670 at Dangote Refinery as oil prices surge
Dangote Refinery has raised the gantry price of diesel nationwide from N1,570 to N1,670 per litre, a N100 increase, as crude oil prices climbed above $94.13 per barrel, according to Daily Post.
A market survey by the outlet on Thursday confirmed the 6.4 per cent hike, though the refinery is yet to officially confirm it. The increase, which follows an August 6 price cut, is expected to push pump prices above the current N1,700–N1,790 range in Abuja.
Petrol gantry price remained flat at N1,165 per litre as Brent and WTI crude rose 2 and 3 per cent respectively.
