Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola Dominguez crowned Miss World 2026

Joheirry Mola Dominguez of the Dominican Republic has been crowned Miss World 2026, defeating 110 other contestants at the pageant’s 75th anniversary finale in Nha Trang, Vietnam, according to a report by NTA. The win marks the Dominican Republic’s second Miss World title, 44 years after Mariasela Álvarez’s 1982 victory.

Mola succeeded Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri, with Spain’s Elisabeth Reynés Alabern as first runner-up and Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty as second runner-up. Mola, a literature teacher, highlighted her Beauty With a Purpose project promoting English education for vulnerable children. Nigeria’s Tamunosoye Karibi-George advanced to the Top 12, representing her Beyond Labels advocacy for children with disabilities.
