Donald Trump’s childhood home sold for $2 million
President Donald Trump’s childhood home in Queens, New York, has sold for nearly $2 million following an extensive renovation.
The Tudor-style home, built by Trump’s father Fred Trump in 1940 in Jamaica Estates, sold for $1.93 million, according to the Associated Press.
Seller Tommy Lin had bought the five-bedroom property last year for $835,000 after it sat neglected, then spent $500,000 on an eight-month overhaul adding a chef’s kitchen and spa-like bathrooms.
The home previously sold for $2.14 million in 2017 to an entity called Trump Birth Home LLC, which briefly listed it on Airbnb with Trump memorabilia, before it fell into disrepair with water damage and a colony of feral cats.
